Holy Nausea, Batman!: Thursday, June 4, 2009

Another note to self: Do not attempt to take new anti-depressent, Effexor (for the physical and emotional effects of menopause), with Levaquin (for my low white count) at bedtime. The combination made for a long, restless night with a high degree of nausea. Unfortunately, once I managed to get out of bed and went down the stairs this morning, I promptly puked in the kitchen sink. Kind of gross, I know. Despite this, I still managed to go to the gym to do the elliptical for 30 minutes, as well as do some weight training.

When I got home from the gym I had an email from my former boss and family friend, Beth, containing the note and video below. I liked the video so much I thought I'd share it with everyone. Enjoy!

From Beth:

Have a listen to this wonderful composite audio/video of the classic standard, “Stand by Me.” The producers recorded different singers and musicians from places around the world. The finished product is great and will make you feel good.

The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters. Turn up the speaker volume and click here: http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=2539741
